Sometimes I write random little stories. Some are cute, some are dark and some autobiographical – whatever takes my fancy. This is where you can see them – and maybe get to know me a little better. Enjoy.
Here is the first little story I wrote a number of years ago. It represents my finding my voice and the struggle to find the courage to ‘let it out’.
The next story is autobiographical. It may make you weep – but I hope it is also a story of triumph. I grew up with an abusive, narcissistic father and this story is only one of many I could tell. But I have overcome.
I have long been an advocate against abuse of women and children – in all its forms. This is a dark little story that communicates what abused women often face. Do not delude yourself into thinking such scenes are far-fetched. They are all too common. I know from childhood experience and from volunteering in a shelter. Read at your peril.
